“Norway is commemorating one year since 77 people were killed and 242 hurt in gun and bomb attacks in Oslo and on the island of Utøya.”
Pictures from 2011, Oslo decked with roses:
…On the day of the attacks I was at work, and when the bomb went off the window next to me shook so hard I grabbed it to make sure it didn’t jump on me. I thought it was an earthquake, but I was too busy re-issuing a ticket for someone on travel that I could not read the news.
I – like many others – could not fully comprehend the tragedy untill I woke up the next morning and learned the shocking death toll. As the days went by we also learned to know the even larger number of physically injured. The time after was the saddest time for my country that I have lived to experience.
