Koh Nang Yuan

Ko Nang Yuan in Thailand consists of three small islands connected by a beach off the northwest coast of Koh Tao. Entry is 100 THB each.

How to get there
Catch a speed boat from Koh Tao (takes about 10 minutes) to Koh Nang Yuan, expect to pay 50-100 THB pr person each way. Arranged boat trips available from From Koh Samui, contact a local tourist agent/operator.

What to do in Koh Nang Yuan

Dive or swim! I went here early in the day/midday and the water was not crowded at all. During the day more and more divers arrived and the ‘beach’ got crowded quickly. I went to Koh Samui thinking I would find clear waters to swim in, but  I didn’t, so I was very pleased to find that a neighbor island such as Koh Nang Yuan had waters so clear you could see all colors of the fish swimming besides you.

There is one restaurant and they serve both international and Thai meals. One of the more expensive restaurants to dine at (as one would expect), but the food was better than expected (I had low expectations).

My rating of Koh Nang Yuan:

…Rating based on my motivational travel there for swimming only.
