When venturing down Bogstadveien in Oslo you find two Italian restaurants; Olivia and Pasta Basta. Both are popular chain-restaurants.
Keeping it simple; pizzas and pastas.
My second visit here and I opted for the traditional Tagliatelle Carbonara in a creamy sauce. Too bad I was feeling a bit nauseous before I came here; I wasn’t able to enjoy it as much as I’m sure I would have had I felt better. Fresh pasta with juicy bacon, and sweet onion! I am pretty sure I will come here yet again and probably have the same dish again! //Edited: 13.10.13: Pasta Basta has closed.
Thomas had a pizza (‘Pizza Pancetta’) and I loved that, too. Pancetta is that Italian bacon that I recently found out is my thing. It’s simple, but if you like Italian you will like these dishes. In spite of my sickness I finished the whole plate, so it was good. Yet, the food is only average, but it’s a very good average!

Italian feel with small wooden tables and dark lighting. One of the best locations in Bogstadveien, the area outside is packed with designer stores.
